Our cookingclasses offer delicious opportunities to collaborate, create, and discover. Campers will  learn about basic chemistry, experience how flavors interact, and gain the foundation to embark on a lifelong culinary adventure.

The Art of Cake

Ages 10-15 (Limit 10)

Bake and decorate to your sweet heart’s content! From fondant to ganache, campers will not only learn to bake several delicious flavors of cakes, but techniques to fill, frost and beautifully decorate their creations. Who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too? (Period 1)

Ages 10-15 (Limit 10)

Join Chef Heather on an international journey from Breakfast to Dessert. You will discover the joys of chopping techniques, pastas of the universe (well, maybe just our planet), the beauty of a blender, how quick can a quick bread be, how slow can a yeast bread grow, and “just how many ways can you bake a chocolate chip cookie anyway?” And remember, spell deSSert with two s’s because you always want more. (Periods 2 and 3)

Nellie's Organic Kitchen

Ages 10-15 (Limit 10)

It’s a farm fresh bonanza! Learn how to whip up tasty snacks with ingredients straight from the earth. Whether it be jarring pickles or frying potatoes, we’ll be cooking up a storm of organic deliciousness using produce from a local farm; and there’s plenty to go around! (Period 5)
